War of Attrition

December12

To be frank, War of Attrition is more of a four letter word to me. It is a case of harming yourself and harming your enemy making sure that the enemies hurt more than you do. But seeing the lists given by my lawyers on those who wanted to take advantage of my companies, sometimes I do feel that what needs to be done have to be done.

For War of Attrition, two essential criteria follows, you must have good evidence that can survive “beyond a reasonable doubt” test and also have far deeper pockets. Given that we met both criteria, it is very easy to start such a war. The only thing that is impeding it is conscience. It isn’t the happiest thing to do in the world to sue someone to bankruptcy. That’s why I tried to avoid this as much as possible asking my staff to try their best to get the outstanding amounts back. But sometimes these very people abuse my staff and threaten them instead. To start such a war is just a “Go” signal for my lawyers, but I somehow hesitate to do this. Sometimes I wonder why are human beings sometimes unreasonable beyond comprehension. That’s the reason why I hate the commercial world, all these crap and more exist.

Bilibin Justice

Bilibin Justice

I do believe in Justice and I certainly believe in Live and Let Live but sometimes you give an inch and a lot of people would rather take a kilometre. It makes a peaceful settlement nearly possible. I do not know why that when I try to get all issues settled amicably, it is seen as weakness and the other parties try to extract more and more. I can be harsh if I really want to. But few can take my harshness.

There is a Chinese Proverb saying for every hundred enemy you killed, you yourself will lose 70. But sometimes against some people you just feel that it is God’s instructions to punish such scums and restore some form of justice. The proverbial “An Eye for An Eye Leaves Everyone Blame” are wise words, but some times 人在江湖身不由己.
