Tablets from India for China Orphans
I really drool at the $46 India produced tablet PCs. My colleague just going back India, really hope to ask him to get them but it seemed that though it is in production, not easy to get. The Aakash, Android based tablet will be a fantastic Christmas for the kids at the orphanage we are supporting. I think I should be able to get one each for every of them, if my colleague manage to get them.
My nephews will be visiting the orphanage, which is good. It is time they see how fortunate they are compared to the kids at the orphanage. In Australia, they are complaining of not enough time for computer games. In the orphanage, we even have problem getting them to school. The local school collapsed because of the earthquake, a kind hearted transport company offered to ferry them to the nearest school for a year but the time is up. It took our company quite a lot of effort to get a small bus for them. It will be a very good experience for my two nephews. They had everything a modern kid have, Ipad 2, the latest games, the best bey blades, the best nerf guns whatever. Hope they can learn to treasure what they have and also learn to love their fellow kids.
