Schrödinger’s cat
This was a famous experiment on paradox which I am looking at it more on the perspective of the Copenhagen interpretation. Though, I must say that even by itself, the interpretation is open to arguments. There is now another dimension of arguments pertaining to viewing the experiment in the perspective of the cat. The cat should know if it is dead or alive. Though for those advocates of this theory, my question is how do you ask the cat?
It is fun to go through the literature again, though it took like about one entire Saturday. The conclusion is of course no conclusion. Similar to life, too many paradoxes and really hard to see what is right and what is wrong. Feeling that a lot of times, winning is not winning, losing isn’t really losing. Oops, getting a little bit philosophical, I guess too much training on the right brain recently.
I kinda envy those who eat and sleep and do not have to think too much. 人之贤不肖,譬如鼠矣,在所自处耳! Even if you had it planned that you won’t be involve in something, another thing prop up. Next week is going to be a week of mediation. Mediating among warring factions, yucks! Why choose me to help meditate. Mediating also means finding a place of suitable ambiance, suitable food and hence torture for my poor tooth. My poor tooth! Tortured by the dentist for nearly 3 months. Just when I was about to cap that poor root canal teeth and complete the course. A stupid cashew nut was telling me “eat me, eat me”. The worse thing was that I bite with that tooth. It went the Scarlett O’Hara’s way……
Gone with the Wind is one of those I will never forget. Not so much for the romance but the fact that I lost that hard covered Gone With the Wind that was borrowed from the library. That was a real hefty fine!
Gone is the Wind is quite a romance, I just do not like the ending. Just feel that Scarlett and Rhett should be together finally……..The perfect ending should be letting them to be together happily ever after. But in real life, nothing is perfect….except God. We just have to live with the imperfections……
The most memorable quotes I can think of from Gone with the Wind
Scarlett: I only know that I love you.
Rhett Butler: That’s your misfortune.
